Rewind: Jump Back Back Ball 24 - Back to the Future

Well, hello there, lovecats. I know it's been a hot minute (okay few months) since I've said hello. Let's just say that work has been crazy-busy and any down time has been spent hibernating w/ my favorite person and snuggling in yoga pants. With wine. Lots of wine.

There's only one event that could call me out of blog-hibernation and that is Jump Back Ball. The last Saturday in February we celebrate Jump Back Ball, benefiting PlayhouseSquare. This wildly fun, themed, creative black-tie gala is put on by Partners, the official Young Professionals group of PlayhouseSquare. It is a can't-miss event, and every year it pulls more and more Clevelanders out of their snowy homes to party in the District's most gorgeous spaces.

This year's theme was Jump Back to the Future and it was a crazy, multi-decade ride through our favorite moments of the three movie series.

Totally missed out on getting my picture taken with the DeLorean because I thought my cape went better with the Chandelier.

VIP started at 6PM with cocktails and appetizers in the Connor Palace Lobby. Cibreo fed us well with lamb and calamari being huge hits and the most beautiful meat and cheese board I've ever seen.

An hour later we made our way to the State Theatre stage that was transformed into Hill Valley High School's Enchantment Under the Sea dance with cocktails, champagne bar and dinner catered by Driftwood Catering.

Two of my favorites: Jess  (my own personal glam squad) & Charlene
Cocktail time with Paul, Cass and the Husband / The boys: Chris, Matthew, Scott & Hans

By the time Eugene Ross & Company came on at 8 o'clock the party was in full swing with people lined up for photo-ops, fortune tellers and, my perennial favorite, the wine pull.

All hail to the Flux Capacitor wine pull.
Up on the mezzanine level the casino games at Biff Tannen's Pleasure Paradise Casino were on fire. People were also making their way into the Sate Theatre lobby to check on their silent auction bids and getting ready for Thunder Gun Express to hit the stage for the late night party.

The evening ended with some behind-the-counter shenanigans and the Chris Morris serving up hot-dog-realness at Old Fashioned.

Another fab Jump Back Ball is in the books and I'm already looking forward to next year's huge 25th Anniversary celebration! Many thanks to Stephanie Sherman & Andy Tojek, this year's JBB co-chairs. Along with their committee members and many volunteers, they created an evening to remember.

::Disclosure - I was an official JBB blogger and received a complimentary ticket for the one that I purchased. I am also vice-chair of the PlayhouseSquare Partners Board. As always, all musings are my own::
