Collabaholic: Halogen x Atlantic-Pacific

I really can't remember the last time I've been this excited for a collaboration. Remember when it was a fairly new concept? Now everyone has one. The market has became flooded with them and they've became less thoughtful and curated and more thrown together for a quick buck. If you take one look and this and think it's a typical 'influencer' collaboration that has all the makings of a hot, quick disaster, you might want to think again.

Blair Eadie Bee, best known as Atlantic-Pacific, started out as a merchandiser for Gap in 2007. In 2010 she started a website to work on her photography while sharing her own personal thoughts and ideas on street styles and hoping it would help her career. In 2013 she assisted Target in putting together their fall lookbook highlighting their brands of accessories and clothing that other stores didn't carry. By 2014 she was writing for Neiman Marcus focusing on the best fashion and accessories for the modern woman. Tory Burch came knocking in 2015 tapping Blair to be the director of merchandising. Her department was small leather items and handbags where she worked closely with product developers. She now consults for them in their digital teams division.

She says that working a full time job has allowed her to balance the obligations of also running her own fashion blog. Blair has been referred to as one of the most successful fashion bloggers in the world, collaborating with brands like Sephora, Gucci, Veuve Cliquot and Range Rover and featured in Harper's Bazaar, Vogue & Elle magazines. In this day and age of buying followers, likes and inflated numbers, it's nice to see a woman who didn't need to do that AND didn't quit her day job.

But let's get to the fashion, shall we? The name Atlantic-Pacific comes from living on both coasts and Blair is known for her polished and playful style. This mix of ladylike fashion with classic staples is the essence of what I look for in clothing. Sizes range from 0-24 and pricing tops out at $249 for coats. The collection is available at Nordstrom (online & in stores) and below are the staples that I'm looking forward to adding to my wardrobe!
