Still Smitten in Cleveland

Tap, tap. Is this thing on?

Hello darlings, I'm so glad you're here!

If you're new, Welcome! I'm Kimberly, a 40-something girl still trying to figure out why her postman hates her.
I live in the Ohio City neighborhood of Cleveland with my husband and three crazy, bengal kittens. We are in the midst of renovating our 160 year old, second-empire home which I thought was a ten year project, over ten years ago! So, we're getting there...

I started this blog in 2010 as a way to share all the things I was smitten with - be it beauty, fashion, food and home. At the time I was a flight attendant and it was a great way to share all my musings with friends spread throughout the country. When they were lucky enough to have layovers in CLE they knew just where they wanted to go.

My motto is Celebrate the Everyday. The little luxuries. Those small moments of every day that you can look forward to. Life can get hectic, mundane or stressful at times and carving out these daily snippets can be sanity saving and keep things balanced in an otherwise unbalanced world.

For those of you who have been longtime readers, thank you! It's been a hot minute few years, huh?! Thanks for sticking around and encouraging me to start this corner of the world up again. Every time I would see someone around town who used to read my blog they would immediately ask when I'd start blogging again. So grab your favorite cocktail (or mocktail!) your girl is BACK!

On Instagram I asked if you guys had any questions and you did! So here are a few and I'll try and answer some more in the next few weeks. If you have any more I'd love to answer them. Feel free to email or message me on FB or IG. Thanks!

Reader Questions

What is one beauty product you can't live without or your favorite?
I'm not sure if this is technically a beauty product but to me it is. A silk pillowcase. Not just any silk pillowcase a Slip silk pillowcase. It has legit helped my skin and my hair. I'm a side sleeper. I'll do a full review soon but just google it. It's life changing. We have like 4 or 5 of them. I even make my husband sleep on one too. (shhhh....)

Where would you go on your perfect date night?
Ooooh! This is a hard one. It would depend on the neighborhood. My default would be to grab a pre-dinner drink or nibble near home someplace like The Black Pig then dinner in Tremont at Dante followed by a nightcap at The Spotted Owl. But often there only a pre or post-dinner stop not both and there is always time for shopping or gallery strolling. And I love a date night that includes a movie at the Cedar Lee or happy hour right after work.

Do you work at Nordstrom/ for Tom Ford/ in cosmetics?
I got this a few times and if you follow me on instagram I can tell why. I post quite a bit about makeup and Nordstrom and Tom Ford (and Charlotte Tilbury) No, no & no. I simply like those brands. I have a few friends that work at Nordstrom and people who have become friends since shopping there but I've always shopped there (you can check my previous blog posts) and been a cardholder. I pay for my purchases and, like everything on this site, if I ever receive anything from a sponsor or am gifted something - there will be a clear disclosure in my post so you'll know!

I'm so glad to be back and so happy you're here. Til next time, cheers!
